Island Lake Mall was a shopping mall located in Bethpage, Long Island, New York. It opened on November 13, 1969, and closed on June 15, 2007, due to foreclosure.

History

The mall was owned by General Growth Properties. In 2005, the mall went into decline, which was exacerbated by the high intense competition with Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City. Finally, the mall closed in 2007, except for the standalone movie theater. The site of the mall was left abandoned until demolition in 2010. The mall was then replaced by three big-box stores; Bed Bath and Beyond, Big Lots, and Christmas Tree Shops along with a Texas Roadhouse and Wendy's.
